(Amman- March 2018) Bank of Jordan’s board decided in its last meeting held on March 22th, 2018 to appoint Mr. Saleh Rajab Hammad as “BoJ Chief Executive Officer”. Hammad served as acting director general since 31/1/2017.

Hammad joined the Bank in 1994 as head of the Compliance and Operational Risk Department, and was later promoted to Executive Manager of the department. He also served as board secretary among other senior management positions he occupied. Before serving as acting director general, Hammad was the  Assistant General Manager  for the Compliance and Risk sector.

Hammad sit on the boards of several other companies: he chairs the  Jordan Leasing Company  , and is the vice chairman of Excel for Financial Investments Company. He is also a board member of Bank of Jordan – Syria, the Association of Banks in Jordan, Al-Eqbal Investment Company, and the Jordan Payment and Clearing Company, LLC).

Mr. Hammad enjoys extensive banking experience. He holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Jordan, and has acquired several professional certificates including CORE and CCO.
